REGULATION FOR TRANSPORT OF PASSENGERS AND VEHICLES
ART. 1 - General Conditions - The transport of passengers and accompanying vehicles on the company's ships is governed by the following regulations that are understood as being accepted upon purchase of a ticket.
ART. 2 - Tickets - In order to travel on the company's ships, passengers must hold a valid personal, non-transferable ticket, issued through an authorized ticketing office or the company offices.
The Company reserves the right to modify ticket fares completely or partly at any moment. ART. 4 - Ticket validity / Transport price and conditions - Tickets are only valid for the day and time indicated. Transport conditions are
those established by these regulations and fares are as indicated on the tickets, which may undergo variation.
ART. 5 - Loss of tickets - In the case of loss of the tickets (loss, theft, etc.), the passenger must register a complaint with the Police and give prompt notice to the Company. In the case where passengers, at the time of notifying the
Company of the loss, renounce the journey, reimbursement of the tickets will have to be requested within the terms set out in article 14 and cancellation will be admitted with respect to the provisions of article 14 itself.
In the case of loss/theft, passengers, where confirming the journey, will have to send the Company office or agency a copy of the complaint registered with the competent authorities indicating the price of new travel documents. Within
a deadline of six months from the departure date indicated on the lost/stolen ticket, unless the same has been used, the Company will undertake to reimburse the price originally paid by the passenger.
ART. 6 - Accompanying vehicles - For safety reasons, the transportation of vehicles carrying dangerous or harmful goods not admitted under current regulations, and containers holding inflammable materials, is forbidden. Vehicles
running on liquid gas must be declared when purchasing the ticket. Vehicles shall be boarded in the order decided by the Ship's Captain. Vehicles must be left with their windows closed and locks open; the ignition key must be hung
on the dashboard. It is recommended that passengers do not leave any items within the vehicle cabin. Fare groups are as follows: cars up to 4.00 m, cars over 4.00 m, Motorcycles. A fare per linear metre has been established for cars exceeding 1.80 metres in height, with or without luggage. Caravans - Campervans - Vans - Luggage trailers - Boat trailers: a price per linear metre is applied for these vehicles. ART. 7 - Luggage - Transportation of hand luggage,
up to a limit of 10 kg per passenger, is included within the corresponding price of transit. For luggage in excess of such limits, to which the rates currently in force will be applied, the regulations set out for such matters in the Navigation
Code will be applied. In any case, payments for any porter services are not included within the ticket price.
Luggage must only contain the passenger's personal objects normally carried in suitcases, travel bags, boxes, chests and the like. Commercial travellers' sample collections are admitted as luggage, without prejudice to the requirement
of the interested parties to fulfil any customs requirements. Each passenger may carry their own luggage with them to the cabin or to their assigned place. Luggage which may not be arranged within the cabin or in the assigned place due to its size, may be placed in the ship's luggage hold by the passenger. Money or valuables, provided they are not overly cumbersome, may be deposited in the Purser's Office free of charge. ART. 8 - Boarding - Disembarking - Prior to departure, passengers shall verify that there have been no alterations to the time reported on
the ticket. The operations of boarding and disembarkation are governed by the Ship' s Captain. Passengers without cars must check in for boarding at least 1 hour prior to departure. Passengers with cars must check in for boarding
at least 2 hours prior to departure. ART. 10 - Pets - The transportation of pets accompanying
passengers is allowed, unless prescribed otherwise by law. No animal may be introduced into the passenger lounges or the cabins except in accordance with the indications herein. Cats and other small animals must be accommodated in cages or baskets on the passenger's responsibility. Dogs must be provided with muzzle and leash and, during the journey, will have to be housed in the special areas set aside onboard. Care of the animals is on the passenger's responsibility. Prices for the transportation of pets are reported in the current list of fares. The transportation of pets accompanying passengers is, furthermore, governed by the sanitary guidelines dictated in such matters by the competent Authorities. The passenger undertakes to relieve the Company with regard to other passengers and the onboard personnel, of any and all responsibility as well as of any and all charges resulting for the Company as a consequence and outcome of the transport in question or as the outcome of any passenger inobservance of the above regulations or current applicable legislation, except in the case that responsibilities and charges arise
from causes which might be blamed on the Company. ART. 12 - Responsibility - Passengers, from the
time of boarding until disembarkation, must follow Onboard Regulations and the instructions given by the Ship's Captain; they must furthermore adapt their behaviour to common diligence and prudence, maintaining their own
security and safety, that of the persons and animals in their care, as well as the security of their own belongings.
ART. 14 - Cancellations, refunds, penalties, departure date changes - 14.1 In the case of ferries and fast ships on the Naples - Palermo line: The passenger has the right to a refund of 80% of the ticket price if the cancellation/date change is made in writing at least 48 hours before departure; a 50% refund will be given if the cancellation/date change is made in writing in the period between 48 hours and 2 hours before departure. There is no refund for unused tickets. 14.2 In the case of fast ships on the Gulf of Naples, Pontine Islands, Naples - Aeolian Islands: The passenger has the right to a refund of 90% of the ticket price if the cancellation/date change is made in writing at least 10 days before departure; a 50% refund will be given if the cancellation/date change is made in writing at
least two days before departure. No refund will be made if the cancellation/date change is made within the 48 hours prior to departure. 14.3 Special offers: Special offers specified on the ticket are bound by the following regulations:
Not refundable, can not be combined with other offers, no change of date / time / itinerary / name permitted.
Ferryboats have no. 1 cabin for disabled persons that can make a specific requestupon booking.
