(4) ANIMALS - The transportation of small-size pets (cats, dogs, birds, etc.) is only allowed if the animals are accompanied by a certificate of good health and if their ticket of passage has been purchased. In compliance with hygienic and sanitary regulations, if accepted by the Company, pets shall travel in the rooms which are reserved for them. Passengers are not allowed to keep their animals in the cabin or in social rooms


DISCOUNTS
CHILDREN DISCOUNT
CHILDREN up to 2 years: free (not occupying own berth or sleeperette).
CHILDREN from 2 to 12 years(not already done): 50% reduction
Over 12 years full fare. Child's age must be proved. Once tickets are issued no child reductions can be allowed.
10% DISCOUNT RESIDENTS AND NATIVE IN SICILY
Applicable for residents and native in Sicily and to all the members of the family, which are regularly registered in the family certification, and accompanied vehicles.
Valid for all the departure to Sicily in tariff A-B.
Cumulative with other promotions (when possible)
15% DISCOUNT FOR OVER 60
-People over 60 years with Carta Mediterranea have a discount of 15%. -Valid on all the fares GNV except for the fares from and to Tunisia and Marocco, from monday to thursday. -Not cumulative with other reductions or discount.


NOTES
FAILED DEPARTURE - The passenger who will not show up in good time for the departure of the ship or who will not embark on the ship specified by the ticket of passage is not even partially entitled to the repayment of the price paid. It shall settle the payment of the price of passage if it has not paid it on the whole. The time fixed for the Boarding, if not otherwise modified in writing, is two hours before the time fixed for the departure of the ship for passengers with vehicles and 45 minutes for the passengers without vehicles.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS - The following deductions will be applied for any cancellation which may be directly received by the company or through travel agencies within the terms below: from the reservation up to 20 days before departure: 10%
from 19 up to 10 days before departure: 20%
from 9 up to 3 days before departure: 30%
2 days before departure: 50%
1 day before departure: 75%
No refund is granted to those who provide for cancellation the same day of departure, who do not show up upon Boarding without any prior notice to the Company, who provide for a partial cancellation at the time of Boarding. The deductions above are applied to the total amount of reserved passengers' and vehicles' fares. The date and time of cancellation shall be noted on the ticket.
CHANGES - If the ticket is changed by booking agencies and offices other than those which have issued the ticket, a fixed charge shall be paid, equal to 10% of the total amount of the travel title you wish to modify.
EARLIER OR LATER DEPARTURES / ARRIVALS - DEPARTURES SUPPRESSIONS - ROUTE CHANGES - The company is entitled to suppress the departure announced, to add or omit calls, to start the travel from a port other than the established one, to assign the ship to another line, to anticipate or postpone departure. If the departure is delayed for more than 12 hours, with respect to the time established, the passenger is entitled to cancel the contract and to be refunded of the price of passage which has not been used, net of any agency use commission. The captain is fully entitled to proceed without its pilot, to tow and assist other ships under any circumstance, to deviate from the ordinary course in any direction, for any distance and purpose, to call at any port before and after the departure, no matter whether the port is lying on the route of the ship, even in a direction opposite or beyond the usual course, by moving backward and forward in any order and for any purpose, once or several times, to transfer the passenger and the vehicle on any other ship or means of transport, belonging to the Company, bound for the port of destination.
